Wicked tight
The concensus here is that this show may not deliver the goods and compared to others from the late fall of this year the meltdown factor may be less, but that is made up in high energy playing throughout the set. The PITB may be one that belongs in the top 10 of all time as it previews coming attratcion of the next year but still firmly rooted in the freshness of 1972.
Brokedown, Mexicali, Me & Bobby McGee are very strong renditions. Wharf Rat which may have been under played this years is exceptional. It is a race to the finish with dance tunes through the encore.
The band is abolutely dialed in and Keith's playing ie exceptional.

Not much here...
The Charlie Miller sound quality is superb, and this Playin' is very well played, but there really is not all the much going on during this second set. (90 pts)

Playin'
It doesn't get much better than this. I was listening to this while walking, and after 3 minutes of Playin just had to sit down with my head in my hands, close my eyes, and be carried away. This performance is energetic, intricate, and delightful, like a pile of leaves lifted away by a breeze and spinning magically in the air. Jerry is fabulous, the notes simply drip, but everyone else keeps right up. No Donna shrieks, either, only harmonies. The sound quality is, of course, stellar, with excellent clarity and separation.

Civic Center Rocked
I was at this show, an 18 yr old college freshman, my first show. The guitar Jerry was using was not Tiger but the Fender Strat you can see from Euope 72. Great Show , highlight was The Playin in the Band and Mirror Ball Light Show during Sugar Magnolia.

Killer Garcia Tiger on Playin'
Jerry absolutely smokes his Tiger on Playing...so fluid it is simply sick.
